Description

3 High Shore in Banff is a house dated 1740, featuring three storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front. The exterior is harled with tooled ashlar margins. The central entrance has a corniced door with a shouldered lintel, adorned with a carved grotesque head and heavily quoined jambs. The first-floor windows are longer and have 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. The house has a single end stack, a slate roof, and flat skews with run-off skewputts. At the rear, there are two-storey wings.

Inside, some original cornices and panelled doors remain.
