Description

Burgess House, located at 2 Shoregate in Crail, was originally built in the 18th century but underwent significant alterations in the 19th century. The building is two stories high and features a two-window gable facing Shoregate, which is partly painted and stuccoed. It has raised quoins, and the central door has been converted into a window. The south side of the gable is crowstepped, and there is a harled gable projection facing High Street, which contains one window on the ground floor and two on the first floor. A consoled doorpiece is located on the flank facing Shoregate. The roof is pantiled with a slate skirting.
