Description
30A and 32 High Shore in Banff is a later 19th-century, two-storey and attic building with five bays that includes both dwellings and a shop. The structure is made of dark whinstone with red sandstone dressings and has a harled south return gable. The central door is flanked by sidelights, with the left side featuring a compact three-bay shop that has a central door and windows, while the right side has a doorway and a window. The first floor has regular fenestration, with the center bay rising as a gable that includes a worn panel and an apex stack. There are two canted dormers with four-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. The building has coped end stacks and a slate roof.
30A and 32A High Shore, which is early 19th century, is located at the rear of and linked to 6 Deveronside. This part of the building is two storeys high on a sloping site and constructed from mixed random rubble. The rear elevation has five regular bays, with bays one, three, and five featuring raised basement lights and long first-floor openings above, while bays two and four contain tall doorways. There is a blocked opening, rear and side wallhead stacks, and a piended slate roof.
