Description
46, 47, and 48 Castle Street is an early 19th-century, three-storey and attic, three-bay Classical tenement building. The ground floor has been altered for commercial use. The building is constructed from grey squared and coursed granite, with render at the rear. It features a pair of canted, piended roof dormers and a consoled timber fascia at the ground level.
The upper storeys predominantly have 12-pane timber sash and case replacement windows, while the ground floor has plate glass windows. The roof is covered with grey slates and has gable stacks, along with cast-iron rainwater goods.
