Description
20 and 22 King Street in Aberdeen is an early 19th-century, three-storey and attic, four-bay Classical tenement. The building features altered commercial premises on the ground floor and is constructed from grey granite ashlar, which is channelled at the entrance door on the far left, with rubble at the rear. It has cill courses and an eaves cornice, along with pedimented and piended dormers. The entrance on the far left is a recessed pilastered doorpiece that includes a four-panel timber door with a semi-circular fanlight above. The first-storey windows are architraved and corniced. The building predominantly has timber sash and case windows with plate glass, while the ground floor features non-traditional plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are coped gable and wallhead stacks.
