Description
15 and 16 Castle Street in Aberdeen is an early 19th-century, three-storey and attic Classical tenement. The building features double-height commercial premises on the ground floor, which have been altered. It is constructed from grey granite ashlar at the front and rubble at the rear.
A six-panel timber entrance door is located to the far left, leading to a pend. Above the commercial premises, there is a bracketed timber fascia. The attic storey is marked by three pedimented dormers set in a steeply pitched roof.
The windows are predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case, and the roof is covered with grey slates, featuring raised skews. The building also has wide, coped brick gable stacks.
