23, 25, 27 Marischal Street, Aberdeen

23, 25, and 27 Marischal Street in Aberdeen is a later 18th century, three-storey townhouse with an attic, featuring five bays and a classical design on a sloping site. The building is constructed from Loanhead granite ashlar, with alternating lighter granite dressings and raised lugged margins on the second floor, and has a moulded eaves course. The central double-leaf timber door is framed by a moulded architrave, with an additional timber door located at the far left (No 23). The steeply pitched roof is adorned with three pedimented dormers.

The upper floors are fitted with 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while the ground floor has 8-pane windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and features an ashlar coped skew at the right gable, along with a coped ridge stack made of granite ashlar facing the street and red brick at the rear, with clay cans. The building also has cast-iron rainwater goods, an irregular glazing pattern, and canted dormers at the rear.

The interior is noted to be of multiple occupancy, though it was not seen in 2006.
