Description
Later 18th century (see Notes). 3-storey with attic, 5-bay classical townhouse with later shopfront on sloping site. Loanhead granite ashlar with raised margins and alternating lighter granite dressings; moulded eaves course. Timber door (No 37) to central bay flanked by timber doors to Nos 35 and 37A; rectangular fanlights. Door to 37A recessed to form porch for shop; large fixed-pane window to right. Pair of bipartite trianglular pedimented dormers flanking single dormer to mansarded roof. 5 storey to rear (E) elevation.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; ashlar coped skew at right gable; coped ridge stack with granite ashlar to street and red brick to rear; clay cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
