Description
This is a small, single segmental arch bridge carrying a one-and-a-half lane road over a stream. Constructed between 1820 and 1839, it is located in the townlands of Greaghawarren and Derryneese in County Fermanagh. The bridge's main structure is of roughly faced, squared sandstone rubble, with more finely dressed stone used for the voussoirs (the wedge-shaped stones that form the arch) and the parapet copings (the top of the parapet walls). A small pipe runs across the upstream (west) face of the bridge. Depicted on the 1834 Ordnance Survey six-inch map, the bridge possesses industrial archaeological interest.
