Description
The site contains the ruinous remains of a sweat house, situated on an isolated location beside a river. The structure is positioned at the corner of a field, on a south-facing slope near a stream. Built of random rubble, it has a beehive profile, measuring approximately 1.8 metres in basal diameter and 90 centimetres internally. The upper section has collapsed inwards. A small entrance, known as a creep hole, is located on the south side; it is 40 centimetres wide and 50 centimetres high and has a flat lintel head. The sweat house is too small to be shown on Ordnance Survey maps. Its date is currently unknown. The structure is noted as derelict.
