Outbuilding next to, 140 Eshnadarragh Road, Rosslea, Co Fermanagh, BT92 7LA

This is a single-storey, single-bay thatched outbuilding, likely of early 19th-century origin, though possibly earlier. It is situated in the townland of Crockada, aligned roughly north-south. The building retains all its original features and is considered a rare example of its type within the province, meriting statutory protection.

The roof is pitched and thatched, secured with ropes, and it lacks chimneys or rainwater goods. The walls are constructed of rubble stone and have a whitewashed façade. The principal, east-facing elevation features a door opening on the left and a window opening on the right. All other elevations are blank. The right gable is adjoined by a lower and narrower shed. To the south of the building is a much altered single-storey house, and to the southeast, a lime-rendered rubble stone outbuilding.

A building is depicted on the Ordnance Survey map of 1834-35, though it was too modest to be included in contemporary tax records. A valuation from around 1862 identifies the occupant as Terence Creighan, who leased the building from Hugh Rooney. The rateable value at that time was recorded as 5 shillings.

The building was originally a thatched house. It is now used as outbuildings and is situated on a private property.
