Description

A two-storey, three-bay house aligned NE-SW, facing the road on the SE side of Main Street. Pitched artificial slate roof with three brick chimneys; one to each gable (that to left extends above ridge level of the adjoining house, which is taller) and a smaller one with decorative brick coping to party wall between central and right bay. A slightly advanced cement-rendered eaves course supports half-round metal rainwater goods with downpipe at right. Principal elevation faces NW. Walls are pebble-dashed. A cement-rendered base-course (slightly advanced), vertical cement-rendered bands to either end, together with the eaves course, form a frame around the façade. All windows are 6/6 exposed box sliding sashes set in narrow cement-rendered reveals with stone cills; those to first floor are diminished in size and have heads at eaves level. Left bay has a window to each floor; that to first floor is offset slightly to the right of that at ground floor. Central bay has a triple-panelled timber door to left (top panel is glazed with obscured glass) with cement-rendered architrave. To its right is a window; above is a window, offset slightly to the left. Right bay has two windows to each floor, in line with each other. Left and right gables are each completely abutted by taller buildings. Rear elevation could not be accessed.
