Pump, Main St, Rosslea, Co Fermanagh, BT92 7PP

This cast-iron pump illustrates the development of Rosslea’s water supply and contributes to the streetscape. Located on the south side of Main Street, opposite the road to Fivemiletown, the pump features a fluted column and cap topped with an acorn finial. It has a plain spout and a tap on the left side when viewed from the road, along with a bracket for a bucket at its base. The inscription 'C JS 84' on the column’s rim likely refers to the founder’s pattern. The pump is likely complete, although the cap is now secured to the column, and is no longer functioning. It was probably installed sometime between 1940 and 1959, as it is not depicted on the 1907 Ordnance Survey map. The pump is of industrial archaeological interest and is owned by the local government. It is identical in design to a pump located in Church Street.
