Bridge, Aghadrumsee, Killygorman and Derrynawilt West., Co. Fermanagh

This is a small, semicircular bridge built between 1840 and 1859. It carries a two-lane road over a stream and is located near the townlands of Aghadrumsee, Killygorman, and Derrynawilt West in County Fermanagh. The bridge's arch, approximately 2.4 metres wide, springs directly from the stream bed and is constructed of rusticated sandstone voussoirs. The body of the bridge is of random squared sandstone rubble. The parapets feature large coping blocks which are rusticated on all visible faces, as are the end blocks. A small weir is situated immediately downstream of the bridge. The structure was first depicted on the 1859 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map. It is similar in design to a nearby bridge over the same stream. The bridge’s significance lies within its industrial archaeological interest.
