Description
41 Fore Street is a building likely from the 18th century that has been altered over time. It is positioned at right angles to the street and features a two-storey roughcast front. The building has a fluted eaves band and curved gable end parapets. The slate roof slopes towards the eaves. There are three windows on the front, each with plain surrounds and sill blocks, and the sashes do not have glazing bars. On the side elevation, there is a solid Tuscan porch with double doors.
41 Fore Street, along with No 1 Mantle Street, the gatepiers, gates, railings, the former coach house, and the garden wall at No 1, and No 3 Mantle Street, form a cohesive group.
