Description

1. 5365 MANTLE STREET (South Side) No 2 (Blue Mantle House Hotel) ST 1320 1/99 II GV

2. 2 storey painted brick front. C18 with later alterations, doorway dated 1887. Eaves cornice, slate roof swept at eaves. 3 windows, sashes with glazing bars. Pair of later splayed bays with tented tops and cast iron balconettes. Fixed small-pane glazing. Brick doorway on left with cornice, segmental entrance arch with incised keystone and glazed door.

Nos 2 to 6 (even) form a group with: United Reformed Church, Fore Street: lamp standards, railings steps and walls of United Reformed Church:Three Cups Hotel and No 34 Fore Street.
