Description

The Royal Star Hotel is an 18th-century building of three storeys, constructed from red brick. It has a tiled roof, a parapet, and a renewed wooden coved eaves cornice. The facade features eight sash windows with intact glazing bars, set in flush wooden frames. On the ground floor, there are two sashes, with a modern doorway placed between them, sheltered by a large flat hood. To the northeast of the doorway is a carriage arch that leads to the hotel yard, and a more recent shopfront. The building forms a group with Nos 12 to 17 on the High Street.
