Description
No 35, known as the Taunton Deane Borough Council Offices, is a large house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a prominent splayed bay that projects forward. The front is two stories high and rendered, while the side facade to the right is exposed. The building has projecting boarded eaves and a hipped slate roof. The bay contains three sash windows on both stories, with thin glazing bars. To the left of the bay, there is a doorway flanked by wooden columns, topped with an open pediment, panelled reveals, and a traceried fanlight. The side elevation includes a one-storey bay with a tall elliptical-headed entrance. At the rear, there is a later red brick extension. No 35 and No 37 are part of a group.
