The Hollies, With Front Boundary Railings 2 1/2 Metres West Of House

The Hollies is a house that was originally detached but is now part of a row, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, and features a clay pantiled roof with stepped coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle. The house has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the first bay being slightly recessed and of a separate build.

In the first bay, there is a 12-pane sash window on the upper floor, and below it, a plain boarded door framed heavily, set within a voussoired segmental arched opening. The remaining bays have 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and 16-pane sash windows above. Bay three features a six-panel door, four of which are glazed, and is sheltered by an early 20th-century flat-roofed timber porch. At the southern end of the house, there is a wing wall topped with thin ashlar coping and a boarded door.

The front boundary is marked by railings set on a low base made of Keinton stone, featuring wrought iron square railings with necked band twisted tongue finials and urn finials on the braced standards. There is a single matching gate opposite each of the doorways. The interior has not been seen.
