Description

Sycamores is a late 18th-century house that is part of a row and has been divided. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, and it features an undulating plain tile roof with coped gables and a brick chimney stack at one end. The house has two storeys and three bays, with sash windows consisting of 16 panes set in plain openings that have dovetailed stone lintels. The entrance doors, located to the left of the first bay and in the second bay, are of a 20th-century boarded pattern. Attached to the east gable is a single-storey outhouse that has a double Roman clay tile roof and an elliptical arched doorway with a keystone. The interiors have not been seen. The building has good group value in an attractive old street.
