Description
St Michael's Cottage, Tol-Pedn House, and the cottage between are a row of three cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from local lias stone that is roughly squared and coursed, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has a shallow pitch and plain gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of five bays, with the three easternmost bays forming Tol-Pedn House. The cottages feature sash windows with 12 panes and side margins in plain openings. The upper windows have timber lintels, while the lower ones have roughly gauged flat arches. St Michael's Cottage has a 20th-century glazed door with a rectangular fanlight to the left of the first bay. The next cottage has a similar door to the right of the second bay, and Tol-Pedn House has a six-panel door beneath a plain rectangular fanlight in the fourth bay. The interiors have not been seen. This row of cottages has good group value in an attractive old street.
