Description

Ingleside is a cottage that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed from local lias stone that is cut and roughly squared, topped with an undulating clay pantiled roof supported by abutments, and features a brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. It includes three light small pane casement windows of an early pattern, each set under timber lintels. Between the bays, there is a boarded door with a glazed panel, framed heavily and also topped with a timber lintel. The interior has not been seen. Ingleside is part of a notable group of small cottages located on a street that was first recorded in 1349.
