Description
Vine House is a detached house from the 18th century, built from local lias stone that has been cut and squared. It features a double Roman clay tile roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high with four bays that display irregular window arrangements.
On the upper floor, there are three-light early pattern casement windows with rectangular leaded panes set beneath timber lintels. The lower floor features a variety of mostly three-light small-pane casement windows, also under timber lintels. To the left of the second bay, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door, which is situated beneath a shared timber lintel. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a corrugated iron roof, which was formerly used as a workshop and/or cart sheds. The interior has not been seen.
