Description
Greystones is a house located at the end of a row, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone, which is roughly coursed, with larger squared and coursed blocks on the facade. The roof is made of plain clay tiles and features a single overhang at the gables, along with brick chimney stacks at both ends. The house has two storeys and three bays, with sash windows that have 16 panes in plain openings. The windows are slightly segmental arched and feature keystoned voussoirs. There is a 20th-century stone porch at the lower bay 2, which has a hipped roof, simple small sidelights, and a reused six-panel door. The interior has not been seen.
Three metres from the house, there are iron railings with hoops that enclose barbed spearpoint rails, set on a low stone wall, with curved returns at the ends that connect back to the house. There is a matching gate opposite the door, which all contributes to the overall setting of the house.
