Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage that has been converted into a language study centre. It was built in the early 19th century and is constructed from local lias stone, which is rendered and colourwashed on the front elevation. The building features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The structure includes a plinth, slim end and bay pilasters, and an eaves course. The windows are 4-pane sash windows with plain surrounds, and the upper row has blind boxes. The lower bay features an open portico in Ionic style, complete with a full plain entablature and an early 20th-century glazed door set in a wide stone architrave. There are later 19th and 20th-century additions to the rear, particularly on the north-west corner, which are of good quality. The interior has not been seen.
