Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble, with parts rendered and colourwashed, and features a hipped roof made of Welsh slate with wide eaves overhangs and stone chimney stacks. The building has three storeys and is arranged in a 3-bay by 3-bay layout.

The south elevation showcases sash windows in plain openings, with 16-pane windows in the outer first floor bays, a 12-pane window in the center, and 8 and 6-pane windows on the second floor. The ground floor includes pairs of French doors flanking the main doorway, and a verandah with a hipped glass roof supported by cast-iron columns that spans the entire elevation.

The side elevations match the front, featuring some blind windows and a semi-circular arched stair window on the north side. Each flank has a single-storey angled bay window made of ashlar stonework, topped with hipped slated roofs behind parapets. Extending westward is a 2-storey, 2-bay extension that matches the main building but is not colourwashed. This extension has 12-pane sash windows above, and below it features a 6-pane casement window in bay 1 and a part-glazed door with a sidelight in bay 2, all with gauged stone flat arches above the openings. The interior has not been seen.
