Description
The Ludlam monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 500 millimetres north of the vestry of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of Purbeck stone set on a stepped base of Ham stone. The monument features a moulded plinth and has one fielded panel on each face, flanked by fluted pilasters, and lacks a frieze. The top is flat with thin moulded coving and rounded leading edges. It commemorates James Ludlam, who died in 1824, along with others.
