Description

Brook Cottage is a house built around 1830, with alterations from the 1890s. It features watershot masonry, stone dressings, and a stone slate roof. The building has a central staircase plan and is two storeys high with a double front. The central entrance has a plain surround with a moulded hood and a 20th-century door. There are two windows on each storey, which are 16-pane sashes. The eaves are adorned with shaped modillions, and there are ridge stacks on the left and right that are now at the junction with the 1890s wings.
