Description

Bank View is a cottage dated 1786, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is built of watershot masonry with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and double-fronted. The central entrance has a chamfered surround, with fluted consoles supporting a moulded hood, and a door dating to around 1980. There are two windows on each floor, each with plain projecting surrounds, and 20th-century casement windows. A panel in the centre of the upper floor is dated with the initials HB. Shaped modillions are present at the eaves. The left-hand gable end has a stack, as does the right-hand ridge.
