Description
Ellergill House is a house built in the early 19th century, with mid-19th century recessed wings and 20th century alterations. The central block features tooled ashlar, while the wings are made of watershot masonry, topped with a slate roof. The house is two storeys tall and has five bays. The central entrance includes a rectangular fanlight and a door from around 1980. All windows have plain lintels, with two on the ground floor and three on the upper floor of the central block, featuring sash windows from around 1980. The slightly recessed wings on the left and right each have one window per storey: the left wing has a 20-pane sash on the ground floor and a sash on the upper floor, while the right wing has a blind window on the ground floor and a 20th century casement on the upper floor. The eaves are adorned with shaped modillions, and there are ridge stacks at the former gable ends of the central block.
