Description

Hillend is a house built around 1770, constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It features a single-depth plan with two bays and two storeys, along with a later outshut at the rear. The ground floor has two five-light recessed cavetto-moulded stone mullion windows, while the first floor includes a four-light and a five-light recessed flat-faced mullion window, with one mullion removed from the former. Gable chimney stacks are present, along with two-light gable windows, which also have one mullion removed. There is a door with a dressed surround located on the right gable, and the left gable has 20th-century openings.
