Description

Laureate's Place is a late 18th-century house situated off Wood Brook Lane in Saddleworth. It is built of hammer-dressed watershot stone, with a graduated stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high, plus a basement, and has two bays. The central doorway has a square-cut surround and is flanked by six-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. A similar window, but of seventeen lights with king mullions, is located on the first floor. Gable chimney stacks are present. At the rear, there are six- and seven-light windows, and a blocked taking-in door.
