Description
Manor House is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone in narrow courses and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a small wing on the right side. Notable architectural features include a projecting plinth and quoins, as well as ground floor windows that are double-chamfered and cavetto-moulded, consisting of three, two, and two-light designs, each with a hoodmould. Two of these windows are located under a continuous hoodmould that displays the initials IW (Winterbottom) on the stops. There is a door situated in an additional gabled bay to the right. The first floor windows and the gable windows are from the 20th century. The kneelers have been repurposed as eaves corbels, and the eaves have been raised at some point. The rear of the house features two two-light windows similar to those at the front, with a continuous hoodmould, and a blocked door with a square-cut surround. The interior has undergone significant alterations.
