Description

Blackleach Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Cooper Street in Saddleworth. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth central-staircase plan and stands two storeys tall, with a small rendered one-storey addition on the right gable.

The central entrance is framed by a dressed door surround, with four and five-light windows on either side at ground level, and two three-light windows on the first floor. Gable chimney stacks are present, and there are two and three-light windows on the gable and rear sides. All windows are designed with recessed flat-faced stone mullions.
