Description

The Punch Bowl Inn is an inn dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared rubble with painted stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is located to the left of the centre, featuring a porch supported by two pillars and a six-panel door.

The left-hand bay has mid to late 19th-century windows with plain surrounds on both storeys, with six-pane sashes on the ground floor and 20th-century casements on the upper floor. The bay to the right of centre originally had an early 18th-century three-light window on the ground floor, but the mullions are now gone. The upper floor retains a similar window with flat-faced mullions and sashes without glazing bars. The right-hand bay, which has quoins, is an extension that contains mid to late 19th-century windows on both storeys.

The left-hand gable end features quoins, a ridge stack, and a stack at the former right-hand gable. Additionally, there is a repositioned decorated lintel inscribed with "IW: 1670" located in an outshut to the right, which was added around 1984.
