Description
The Horse and Farrier Inn is an inn dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rendered stone with painted dressings and has a slate roof. The building is five bays wide, with the two bays on the right being a later, projecting addition from the 19th century. The main entrance is located slightly left of centre and is sheltered by a gabled porch with a half-glazed door. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century window to the left and right of the entrance, both with sash windows lacking glazing bars. Above, three windows originally 18th-century two-light mullioned windows, now have 20th-century casement windows. The 19th-century extension features a right-hand entrance with a six-panel door, and it has two windows per storey; sash windows without glazing bars on the ground floor and casement windows above. A ridge stack is positioned slightly right of centre. The building is listed for its group value.
