Description
Veniscombe is a house built around 1830 and restored in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble from the Isle of Wight, with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. Originally L-shaped, the building has been modified with modern infill to create a rectangular shape. It has two storeys and four windows, primarily featuring 12-paned sash windows set in stone surrounds with keystones and moulded wooden architraves. The entrance includes a round-headed doorcase with a keystone and a six-fielded panelled door. On the left side, there is a modern bay window. Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase supported by iron columns.
