Description
This is a terrace of four houses located on the west side of The Square in Burton. Built in the late 18th or early 19th century, the houses are faced with scored stucco and have stone dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. They stand three storeys high and have ten bays in total, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. The front doors are nine-panelled, with the top three panels glazed. Nos. 1, 3 and 4 have pediments over their doorways. The entrance to No. 2 is through an elliptical archway located in the fourth bay from the left, featuring a keystone and moulded impost blocks. The building is finished with a modillioned eaves cornice and four prominent chimneys.
