Description

The Coach House is a former coach house that has been converted into three houses. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed from roughly-squared, coursed limestone with sandstone dressings and features a hipped roof made of graduated greenslate, with a red clay ridge on the left hip and a blue glazed ridge on the right.

The structure is three storeys high and has six bays. The ground floor includes 20th-century windows of various designs, all set in stone surrounds. At the center of the ground floor, there are paired elliptical arches; the left arch is glazed while the right contains a recessed door. Each side of the central arches has one window and one door, with the doors being 20th-century, glazed, and set in chamfered stone surrounds that feature keystones.

On the first floor, there are two 20th-century French windows inserted into paired round arches, which also have keystones and impost blocks. Above these arches is an oculus with a plain surround, all beneath a moulded pediment supported by consoles. The upper floor features two 20th-century windows in plain surrounds, one for each of the houses numbered 1 and 3. The building also has quoins and a string course at the first floor level.
