Description
Hordley House is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features roughcast render over rubble with stone dressings and a graduated greenslate roof with a stone ridge. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. The central entrance has a panelled door, flanked by 20th-century casements in the original openings, which have plain surrounds. To the right, there is a 20th-century door in an opening with a segmental head that is slightly recessed. On the upper floor, there are original small-paned cross windows with heavy timber mullions and transoms, although the outer windows have renewed leaded glazing in a lattice pattern on the lower casements and later shutters. The house has two chimneys, with the one on the left being stepped.
