Description

This guidestone, dating from around 1836, is located approximately 7 meters south-west of the junction with Templands Road in Lower Allithwaite, Cartmel. It is a milestone made of stone, featuring a rectangular slab set into a stone wall. The top panel displays the inscription: "ULVERSTON/OVER SANDS 7 MILES," while the lettering below indicates: "CARK/HOLKER/FLOOKBURGH."
