Description
Devonshire House is a house located in Cartmel, likely dating from the late 17th century or 18th century, with later alterations and possibly a second storey added. The building is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has two bays, with a top frieze and a narrow cornice. The ground floor has two windows with casements that have elliptical-headed lights. The first and second floors contain sash windows with single glazing bars and horns. The entrance features a six-fielded-panel door, with the top two panels being glazed. There is a gable-end stack, and at the rear, there is a large gabled wing that includes a large gable-end stack to the left of a three-light single-chamfered-mullioned window with a slated lintel.
