Description

Bluebell Cottage, Bridge House and Rogan & Co are probably 18th-century houses, originally two dwellings and later incorporating a shop. They are built of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The building is two storeys and three bays, with the first bay forming Bluebell Cottage. Bluebell Cottage features casement windows and a lean-to porch. Bridge House and the former shop have sash windows with vertical glazing bars. A 19th-century shop window and entrance to the second bay have segmental-headed panes, panelled pilasters and a fascia. The entrance to the right has a four-fielded-panel door. The building has a cross-axial stack, gable-end stack and a lateral stack. The right return has a sash window. At the rear of Bluebell Cottage is a gabled wing with limestone dressings, a garage door, a loading door now glazed, and a mill stone inscribed "1857/IR".
