Description
This guide stone, dating from 1836, is located approximately 7 meters from the junction at Headless Cross in Cartmel. It is a rectangular slab made of stone, set into a stone wall. The main panel features raised lettering that reads: "LANCASTER/15M/ALITHWAITE/2M". Additionally, there are two small panels that display the figures "18" and "36".
