Description

Garth House is a late 18th or early 19th century house located in Lower Allithwaite, near Cartmel. It is built with roughcast rendering and has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has a central entrance plan with three bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance features Tuscan columns, a frieze, and a pediment, sheltering a six-fielded-panel door with two glazed panels. Round-headed gates are set into the walls on either side. Gable-end stacks are present. The rear elevation is similar in appearance, but includes a 20th-century dormer and an inserted casement window.
