Description

This is a pump located in a stone-walled recess at the opposite end of The Causeway in Cartmel, dating from 1866. The pump features a timber casing, complete with a spout and handle. It is accompanied by a stone trough and step. The datestone is set into the back wall of the recess, and there are three large waterworn limestone blocks at the tops of the walls.
