Description
Field Beck is a house located in Cartmel, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays arranged around a central entrance. The windows are sashed with glazing bars; the ground floor windows have segmental heads, while the second bay of the first floor has a blind sash frame with painted glazing bars. The attic includes a flat-topped dormer with slate cheeks and a horizontally sliding sash window. The entrance features a six-fielded-panel door, two of which are glazed, and is topped by a flat bracketed canopy. Gable-end stacks are present, and the rear of the building is similar in style.
