Description
Park House is a house located in Cartmel, likely dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the fourth bay being lower and projecting forward. The windows are segmental headed and contain 16-pane sashes with thick glazing bars; the window in the fourth bay on the first floor has horns. The entrance to the second bay is marked by a flat bracketed canopy and a six-fielded-panel door, while there is a garage entrance with paired pivoted doors. A gable-end stack is present on the building. At the rear, there is a gabled wing that features a large projecting gable-end stack with set offs and rounded shafts. The first bay has a single-storey flat-roofed extension, and there are sashed windows throughout. The fourth bay was previously listed under Parkside House, which is now known as Gallery House.
