Description

The wall and gates in front of Thomlinson Junior School are a former front garden wall and gates, now serving as a playground wall. They date from the early 19th century. The structure features a low brick wall topped with chamfered stone coping and square rusticated stone piers capped with pyramidal tops. The wall has a serpentine shape and includes round rusticated gate piers adorned with oval decoration and urn finials. The wrought-iron gates have speared rails and decorative scrollwork. This listing is partly due to its group value with Thomlinson Junior School.
