Description
The garden wall, gate, and railings located to the south of the Old Schoolhouse date from around 1800. They are constructed from ashlar and iron. The side walls are approximately 3½ feet high and feature roll-moulded coping. There are tall square corner piers that have cornices and concave pyramidal caps. The low front walls are topped with railings that include pointed standards, dog-bars, a scalloped half-rail, and a top rail with curled brackets. The structure is interrupted in the center by gates that follow a similar style.
